Sign up for newsletters for companies to get coupons. Not every newsletter you receive from a company will contain coupons, they usually rotate them but you can get some valuable coupons for signing up for newsletters. Always check to see if the stores you shop have newsletters, because they usually will send coupons and also check any manufacturers websites for products you regularly use to sign up for newsletters. Ways to make money with Mystery Shopping

I have been mystery shopping for about three years now. I had heard about people making money doing this and decided to research this. A lot of companies will hire mystery shoppers to evaluate how a company is doing, evaluate customer service, companies will do this so they know what aspects to improve on. I have done shops for banks, grocery stores, fast food, restaurants, retail stores, movie theatres, etc. I found a referrral company called "Money and Shopping Network" and decided to sign up with this company to learn the ends and outs of mystery shopping. Even though there was a fee to join this company, it was well worth it. I learned so much that helped me about mystery shopping. I learned the do's and don'ts of mystery shopping, how to fill out good applications and to get accepted by companies. The company has a big list of good companies to apply to, misc. resource forms and so much more. I had checked out several referral companies and this one was the best in my opinion. Keep in mind this is a referral company not the actual company that needs shoppers (however, this company gives an extensive list of available companies). To apply to mystery shopping companies, you should NEVER have to pay, it is always free. "Money and Shopping Network" gives you the training and knowledge to be a successful mystery shopper. I was skeptical at first paying a fee, however, it was well worth it for me and I made my money back within a week. There are two levels: yearly and lifetime membership. I got the yearly, however, I signed up over 2 years ago and I can still access the site. So my advice is to try that.

coupon deals at Publix

Publix has the best coupon policies in my opinion. Publix will double all coupons up to .50 with the exception of Publix store coupons. You can use as many coupons as you like, there is no limit on how many total coupons you can use at this store. What I mean by that is, for EXAMPLE: At Ingles you can only use a certain amount of coupons per $10 transaction, at Publix you can use any coupons you have for an item as long as it is not expired and for the correct item. You can use Publix store coupons( the coupons that do not have an address to mail coupons to) with manufacturer's coupons. Publix has flyers at the entrance with store coupons. Sometimes there are several different flyers. You can get some really good deals using a Publix coupon and a manufacturer's coupon together for an item. Most Publix stores will take internet coupons (these are manufacture's coupons). Publix will also take other store competitor's coupons. Another thing I just learned was that Publix will allow you to use the peelie coupons (that are attached to an item) with a manufacturer's coupon or store coupon for that item.
Publix has some good BOGO (Buy-one- get one free) sales. You do not have to buy two items to get the discounts. Each item rings up at half price. If you want to buy both items, you can use coupons for both items. You can also use a BOGO manufacturer coupon for these items also to get one item free. As you can see, you can save alot of money at Publix with their sales and using Publix store coupons and manufacturer's coupons. One last word, in the Publix flyer that comes out on Sunday( in most areas), there is a coupon for a .01 mystery item. This coupon is good only for sunday and monday. You have to find out at the store what the mystery item is and spend at least $10 to qualify for it. I have got free coffee, peanut butter, candy, etc.

Coupon deals at Walgreens

Walgreens is a good place to get deals also. Walgreens puts out a booklet every month that has store coupons on items and also has rebates for the month. The great thing with Walgreens like CVS, you can use store coupons with manufacture's coupons together. EXAMPLE: I had a Walgreen's coupon for Pert Plus for $2.50 off and a manufacturer's coupon that I cut from coupon inserts from my paper for a $1.00. The shampoo was on sale for $3.49 and I used both my coupons and I made .01 on this item and got the item for FREE! Alot of people don't realize that most (not all) stores will let you use the store coupons with manufacturer's coupons. So at Walgreen's you can get alot of deals with their store coupons (it is called the Easy Saver coupons). Walgreen's also does rebates every month also that you submit at the end of the month either in the mail or online. Walgreen's on certain items will issue coupons called Register Rewards(this is like CVS's Extra Bucks) you can use the Register Rewards coupon to purchase practically anything in the store, it is used like cash to purchase items in the store. You use these coupons on future visits. Also, if you register at http://www.walgreens.com/ you will get store coupons frequently to print. EXAMPLE: $5 off purchase of $15. You can also use this coupon in conjunction with the other coupons.

Shop around for good prescription deals

If you don't have insurance, then it is real important to get the best price for prescriptions. Call around and find out who has the best prices in your town. Rite Aid is a great place to get prescriptions because they will price match competitor's prices. Example: I had a prescription for a antibiotic and usually walmart has the cheapest prescription prices, so I called Walmart and it was $67, I tried CVS and it was $99 (CVS does NOT price match). I took my prescription to Rite Aid (because I will not get prescriptions at Walmart because it is a nightmare to stand in line) and the pharmacist asked if I checked the price at Publix because they have certain antibiotics for free. I was sure this particular prescription would not be free, however, I called to find out the price and it was cheaper than anywhere else. It was $37 (a $30 difference than Walmart). So it pays to shop around!! Also, Rite Aid has a prescription savings club you can sign up for if you don't have insurance, it is free and will save you an additional 20% and you can also use it on Rite Aid brand products in store for 10% off. Also, if you transfer a prescription from somewhere else you can get a Rite Aid gift card for $30 to use in the store. I believe you can get up to 4 cards for an individual. This offer expires 11/30. They have booklets at the store, ask your pharmacist or perhaps it's online also.

Coupon deals at Rite Aid

Rite Aid has monthly rebates. You can save alot of money with rebates. Rite Aid has a flyer in the entrance of the store with the monthly rebates and weekly they will advertise deals with some of their rebates. You can keep track of your rebates online or on a form on the back of the catalog (flyer). Save your receipts because you need the info. to track your rebates, however, if you mail in your rebates, you do NOT have to mail the receipts with it. Alot of items will be free after rebate. At the end of the month you will submit your form for all rebate purchases for one total rebate for the month. I do mine online, it is much easier and saves me postage. At the end of the following month you will recive a check from Rite Aid for all your rebates for the month. My highest rebate check to date was for $58. The great thing about rebates is that you can still use coupons for your item purchased and you will get the refund for the price before coupon, so you can make money on an item sometimes.

Coupon deals at CVS

You can get some good deals from CVS. Every month they put out a booklet that you can pick up in the store (normally by the entrance). This booklet shows items that you can get extra bucks from after purchasing the item. Example: This month Speed Stick deodrant is on sale for $1.99 and if you purchase 1 this month you get a $1 extra buck printed out at check out that you can use on your next trip to CVS (usually you have 2 weeks or so to use). You can use Extra Bucks for anything except cigarettes, prescriptions, gift cards and few like items,( it will state the items on the coupon). Just about any regular item, you can use this on. Well, let's say I purchase the deodrant for $1.99 and I have a manufacturers coupon for 1.00, then my total for the deodrant is .99 and I get a $1 extra buck for next time. Basically this item is free, after Extra bucks. Another example is Always infinity pads is $4.98 and you get $4.98 extra bucks back. So basically it is FREE. The great thing with CVS is that you can use as many Extra Bucks coupons as you want in one transaction. You need to think of extra bucks as cash and if you are not using these, it's like you are throwing money away. So let's say that I bought the deodrant and the infinity pads. I have a coupon for 1.00 off the deodrant and I have a 1.00 coupon for the pads (I just made a $1.00 on the pads because I will get the full price back on the extra buck coupon). My total for both products before coupons is $6.97, after coupons it will be $4.97 and I will get $5.98 back in extra bucks that I can use on another trip. I am getting more back than I spend. Basically, I am making a $1.07 profit. With the use of coupons and sales and extra bucks, you can get some fantastic deals at CVS. If you register at CVS.com, they send out emails with coupons also. For ex. "spend $15 get $3 off." You can use this coupon in conjuction with your other coupons. (You can only use 1 of these type coupons in a transaction.) Also, remember to look at what the limit is for items with extra bucks. Some have a limit of 1 item to get an extra buck back, some have 5 or more. Also, the extra buck specials for the month is over by the 25th day of the month. Happy shopping! One last thought, register your extra care card at http://www.cvs.com/ and you can earn rewards quarterly, that prints out in an Extra Buck.

If the coupon does not scan at the register, the cashier should politely inform you that we are unable to accept your coupon. We do not allow manual overrides at the register for coupons printed from the Internet.Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. However, the staff should be allowing customers to use Extra Bucks in combination with other CVS coupons since these are coupons you have “earned.” In addition, similarly they should be allowing the use of “offer at the register” coupons which would be an open offer of $3 off of $15 or a certain dollar amount off of a specific item. Since our registers are programmed to only accept 2 coupons (1 CVS, 1 manufacturer) per item if the number of coupons exceed the items purchased a member of management will need to assist the cashier in processing the coupons. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.You can use coupons towards a clearance item but the coupon will be adjusted if it is more than the price of the item. The BOGO coupon allows you to purchase 2 items and get them both for free. With the manufacturer’s coupons you can combine one with one CVS coupon. Save a ton of money with coupons!!!

If you are not utilizing coupons, you are losing out on saving hundreds of dollars a year! You are also losing out on alot of freebies you can get at the grocery store and drugstores. The newspapers put out flyers with coupons every week. The larger city papers (which in my case is Atlanta Journal) give the most coupons. If you say to yourself, "I don't have time to cut coupons". There is a simple way to coupon. I have a plastic accordian file, nothing too big, that I bought at Walmart. I put the months of the year on the tabs for each slot. When I receive my coupons each week I write on the front packet what type of coupons they are. (There are usually 3 types of coupons, Smartsource and Red Plum and P&G) The name is on the front of the packet and the date is in the crease of the packet. So I will write S 9-28 for example on the front if it is a Smartsource packet that I received on Sun. 9-28. (Coupons always come out in sundays paper) I then will go to www.couponmom.com and get the list of deals for the stores in my area. I can click on any store listed in my area and it will give me the deals for that store and list the accompanying coupon (ex. S 9-28) and tell me how much I will save and how much my item will be with coupon. Since I started using this method and using the couponmom website I have saved a ton of money. Using this method, you are not required to spend alot of time cutting coupons, you just cut what you would use. Now once you become an advit coupon shopper, there are other methods to keep up with coupons. So coupons can be used by anyone, from the person who doesn't have much time and doesn't want to fool with it much, to the person who is a couponaholic and it becomes a game to see how much you can save and get free that week. This has become a hobby for me (besides saving my family alot of money) and I have used this as a ministry to help others in need also. If you want to save money, like I'm sure everyone wants to do now with the economy like it is, I advise you to come back to my blog and learn the different tricks of couponing and read the couponmom's site for alot of good info and tips. always check your receipts

Always check your receipts before you leave a store. If you don't already do this, you would be amazed about how much money you are losing. Stores often ring items up wrong or you make a mistake by choosing the wrong item. This can really add up over time. I'll give you 2 examples: the other week at Kroger, I did not check my receipt until I got home. When I did check my receipt I noticed the cashier did not scan my coupon for a free box of cereal, the cereal was about $4. I did go back to the store later and told the person at customer service what happened, I was lucky that I had checked out my groceries at the self check and gave the coupons to the cashier and they were able to check the cash register and found my coupon and they did refund my money.
Another great example was at CVS. Always make sure you get your extra value bucks that you are supposed too. I have had this happen twice. One time it just did not print out for folger's coffee (for 5.99) and they gave me a written extra value buck for $5.99. Last week, I checked my receipt and noticed there was no extra value buck for a lipstick I bought. Now listen to this, I bought $25 worth of merchandise and I only paid $2 exactly. When I got to the car I checked my receipt and noticed there was no extra value buck for the lipstick, which was for $5.99. I went back into the store and told them, we checked the lipstick and realized I had bought the wrong one. So I asked to trade it out. The first lipstick I bought was buy one get 2nd for 50% off, the lipstick that I had wanted was buy one get one free. Because I had paid extra for the first lipstick I bought, CVS owed me money back. I received $2.78 back from them, so at the end of my trip I actually ended up paying nothing for my merchandise and they paid me .78 to shop there! I also did get my extra value buck for for the price of the lipstick which was $5.99. So for just going back into the store I gained $6.77.
